Thought I’d poke around and see if it was worth it to join, since I’m looking for some info about random things and a Legacy-specific forum would theoretically be helpful. Nope. Sometimes I forget how awful other automotive sites can be.

If I ever get annoyed by anybody on Oppo (rare), I just go poke around on VW Vortex for like 5 minutes. Really puts things in perspective.

The Subaru community is just awful. The only make specific automotive community I have ever gotten along with is the Mini community.

Me too, but I’m less surprised when I remember how many people in high school still had trouble reading out loud from an extremely basic novel

That is true, although I took mostly honors and AP classes, so my classes were generally populated by smarter students, so I encountered less of these people.

The only make specific community I have experience with is my local BMW forum, and it’s extremely hit or miss. Some really good guys on there, but a lot of hate for the newer young guys that drives them away. I don’t go there unless I’m looking for hard to find parts, or looking for cars for sale before they hit CL

I did until grade 12 when I switched out of donors English because I hated the teacher. Not the best call, so much stupid in such a small room....

It’s not that bad as far as forums go, but the first thing I saw was a thread asking people to use proper grammar/spelling, and also to not be assholes. Of course, the following replies were people who couldn’t spell, and people being assholes. Just didn’t seem worth it to delve into all of that and look for the good parts
